This Privacy Policy explains how Glow ("we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use the Glow mobile application and related services (the "App"). We built Glow to be a private, personal tool, and we keep the data we collect to a minimum.
1. Information You Provide
When you use Glow, you may enter information such as the products you choose to track, schedules and reminders, reconstitution and inventory values, dose logs, weight, and personal preferences. You provide this information voluntarily so the App can organize it for you.
2. Account Information
If you create an account, we collect the information needed to set it up and keep it secure, such as an email address (and, if you use Sign in with Apple, identifiers Apple provides for that sign-in). We use this only to provide and protect your account and to communicate with you about the App.
3. Where Your Data Lives
Your tracking data is kept on your device for fast access, and when you are signed in to an account it is securely stored and synced to our cloud backend (Supabase) so it is available across your devices and can be restored if you reinstall the App. Some device-specific items (such as local notification handles) stay on your device and are not synced.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use your health-related entries for advertising.
4. Apple Health (Optional)
Apple Health integration is optional. If you enable it, Glow requests access only to the categories shown in Apple's permission sheet. Health data is used to display your activity trends inside the App. It is never sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. You can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by the App Store and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). They receive the purchase and entitlement information needed to give you access to paid features. We do not receive or store your full payment-card information. If you enter an affiliate or referral code, we store that attribution (linked to your account and subscription identity as needed) so we can honor the referral and operate our affiliate program. We do not sell that information.
6. Glow AI Chat
When you use the in-app Glow AI chat, the messages you send (and recent messages in that conversation, for context) are transmitted to third-party AI service providers that generate the responses. We ask for your agreement before your first message is sent. Please do not enter information you do not want processed in this way. Your conversation history is stored only on your device; we retain limited, non-content usage records (such as message counts and timing) to operate rate limits and prevent abuse. Glow AI provides general educational information only and is not medical advice.
7. Analytics and Logging
We aim to collect as little as possible. The App does not transmit your dose, weight, or Apple Health data to a third-party analytics provider for advertising, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking. To keep the App reliable, we collect basic crash and error diagnostics (such as an error message, a truncated technical stack trace, your platform and app version, and a per-session identifier) and send them to our own operational tooling. These diagnostics are used only to detect and fix problems.
8. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the App.
Sync your data across your devices (if you enable sync or an account).
Provide subscription access and customer support.
Keep the App secure and prevent abuse.
Comply with legal obligations.
9. Third-Party Services
We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate the App, including: Apple (App Store, in-app purchases, and Apple Health); Supabase (our authentication, database, and cloud-sync backend); RevenueCat (our subscription provider); and AI service providers that generate responses in the Glow AI chat. We may change AI service providers over time. These providers process information only as needed to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy commitments. We do not sell your personal data or use it for cross-app advertising.
10. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can delete your data by removing it in the App, deleting your account where available, or contacting us. Note that removing the App from your device may not delete data retained in a device backup or in cloud sync until you delete your account.
11. Your Choices
You are in control of your data. You can:
Revoke Apple Health and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
Disable cloud sync where available.
Delete entries within the App.
Delete your account and associated data directly in the App (Settings, or the account management screen), or by contacting us.
12. Children's Privacy
Glow is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
